With it being the final season at Goodison Park I thought I’d log every Everton men and women game I go to this season. Took me having a ST for 14 years to think of doing something like this. Game #1: Roma (H)

Five WSL games kicked off at the same time as Arsenal vs Chelsea, the only game that didn’t that weekend was the one that kicked off two hours later. Just shooting yourself in the foot over and over again for no reason.

I don’t think there’s intent to injure, Newcastle had just scored and they were clearly trying to up the intensity. That’s still a ridiculously dangerous challenge though and I don’t see a world where it’s not a red card.

Horrible, horrible ‘challenge’ on Katja Snoeijs here. Was down for five minutes before having to come off. No idea how this isn’t a red card?

Really liked having both Bronze and Carpenter on the right side together. Obviously a weaker Barcelona team than a year or two ago but still very impressive how dominant Chelsea have been.

Tried to sum up how I feel about the Everton situation at the minute. All gone very, very stale hasn’t it?
Everton had zero investment for years under Sørensen and missed out on so many players to other teams. Had awful injury luck and could never even manage to fill their bench because the squad was so small. Not sure many could have done the job he did.

If they do stick with him I hope he can turn it around, it just feels like things have run their course right now. Four years is a long time for a manager to spend at a club these days and maybe the players just need a fresh voice to come in.

You have to give a squad time to gel but you also need to see signs of improvement during that period. Everton have the worst defensive record in the league, barely create chances and have three of the top four coming up in the next three games.

The fact that relegation, with the squad now available, is a genuine possibility is embarrassing. Investment both on and off the pitch has arrived, there’s a squad full of international footballers and they’ve looked lost all season.

Happy for Katja, she needed a goal. 3-1 is a massively flattering score line overall though.
