MRT's National Training Weekend is not just about training, but also celebrating the excellence, dedication and leadership of team members! The first night of the weekend ended with the annual dinner, where members were recognised for exceptional performance this year.

This year's MRT National Training Weekend brought members together with scenarios that, in turn, simulated dark, noisy, crowded environments, and challenging interpersonal dynamics. High-fidelity simulation and robust debrief keeps us ready for real-world complexity.

The annual National Training Weekend kicks off this morning, bringing MRT from all regions together. Some of us have started off with a morning run! The rest of the day is filled with scenarios and skills stations, rounding off with a celebratory dinner/awards ceremony tonight.

Shoreditch, this was your finish line medical team! We were at the Shoreditch 10k this morning, responding to unwell finishers with other fellow @stjohn_ambulance volunteers and @enhanced_care_services.

In preparation for our autumn events - both bonfire events and finish lines - we ran skills practice and scenarios, in one of our last training days of the year! Our scenarios today ran the gamut from management of the unwell burns patient to open fractures.

MRT from every region have gathered in London for @NHcarnivalLDN! We are working with @ldn_ambulance colleagues to provide ambulance-level care in foot-based teams within the event footprint. Happy Carnival!

MRT members remain embedded in local networks, allowing us to incorporate MRT skills in training nights. Lambeth, Southwark and Wandsworth recently ran a scenario night ahead of Notting Hill Carnival, simulating the patient journey from extrication to onward treatment.

It was scenario time at our London Bridge building tonight, where we ran a simulation to get our volunteers ready for Notting Hill Carnival. Thank you to @stjohnambulance volunteers from across London for attending, and to @SJALondonMRT for helping to make the evening realistic.

What a weekend! @PrideBrighton saw us joining treatment centre FAs and HCPs in a simulation run by @Luke_Tester and @Dr_Hannah87 in the morning, and responding to unwell patients in the concert pit and around the event footprint in the evening.
