Officially started my new volunteer role as Specialist Operations Inspector today. I will be bridging the gap between full time colleagues and the SC to ensure we are effectively deploying Specials to major events and operations and utilising skills and experience to our best.

So proud of S/Sgt SQUIRE for passing his response course, adding another responder to the Trafford team. Well done 👍🏼
After 3 weeks training S/Sgt SQUIRE from our Trafford district has passed his Standard Driving course and will join the other 14 SC’s who have gained the skills already.

Despite the rain 10 #Trafford @GMPSpecials supported Remembrance Parades at Sale, Stretford and Urmston this morning, then joined our regular colleagues for Hale in the afternoon. It was a pleasure to lead my team again for Urmston and Hale, such an honour. And an amazing team!

Stopped by the #BritishFirefighterChallenge today in Manchester city centre. The eldest had a go at the Perry line plus the new VR headsets for the immersive experience. Great tech!

Huge huge thanks to the team at @TCOpticians who I forgot to shout out before going away, the team there preserved with me for weeks to finally kit me out with contact lenses, allowing me to wear “normal” sunglasses on holiday 👍🏼❤️ You are all amazing and I can’t recommend enough

Another successful weekend of leading a PSU of @GMPSpecials from across the force for two nights of @ArcticMonkeys concerts at @EmiratesOT in total we’ve had 31 SC’s across both days. Now time for some r and r! #VolunteersWeek2023
