Founded in 1902, we build the only surface plate reel grinder & the only bedknife grinder that grinds both faces parallel to the pivot bolts & at the same time.

Didn’t see the sun much in my 2 wks at @eastlakegc for the @TOURChamp this yr, but the place still pops. The @SIPGrinders1902 did their job maintaining relief, parallel cutting units, & UNIFORMITY. For me, final shift always feels like Christmas is coming to an end.

Busted the camera out for some sexy shots of @TOURChamp prep here at @eastlakegc yesterday morning. Captured @AgriMetal_US’s Brian on the putting green by the “big fancy house.” The @SIPGrinders1902 are shut down & napping along w/ the rest of us on the team. How it should be.

GAMEDAY BABY! @TOURChamp at @eastlakegc! Weather suuuuuucks but the entire team is killing it. The @SIPGrinders1902 have everything cylindrical, parallel, & uniform. And thank you to Ms. @tenia_workman for taking care of us gorillas this week w/ breakfast!

Went through @TOURChamp greens CUs one last time this morning on the @SIPGrinders1902 to make sure QA5 front rollers were parallel to their straight/cylindrical reels w/in .0025” (they were). Asst EM Kevin is killing it this yr. Front face thicknesses w/in .003” of one another.

It’s time. Ice cream is ready. The @SIPGrinders1902 are shut down & dormant. They did all of their heavy lifting last week. All cutting units are sharp & parallel. Front face thicknesses on knives are in their windows & uniform! Ice cream not-sponsored by @DeeWayneGrindz
It’s nice & fast/easy to add relief when it was only down to 50%, to start. Installing relief in the @JohnDeere QA7’s this week, so we can sit around & eat ice cream sandwiches during tournament, next week.

On the plane to see the girls! Emma was enjoying her egg sammich & watching me parallel & spin up a @JohnDeere 260SL on the @SIPGrinders1902 Peerless 7000 this morning! I’ll be back up to @eastlakegc on Sunday for @TOURChamp week, baby! Nice to see the sun this morning!

Day 3 of @TOURChamp cutting unit prep! We’ve gone through fairway cleanups, greens, & approaches; but videos of relief on a 7” fairway reel are like slowmo videos of a procore: gotta do it. .045” infeeds on the @SIPGrinders1902 Peerless 7000 this morning!

Mid season relief touch up. Relief was at 60%. .010 infeed and 1 trip around. Land area at .035 when finished. @SIPGrinders1902 @MikeRollinsSIP

Before and after the @SIPGrinders1902 treatment. The range tee triplex is one of the last machines in the fleet to see the new grinders and I expect it to be a while before it’s back on them.

Ahhh, the @SIPGrinders1902 Ideal 6000 bedknife grinder: a refreshing shower of bulletproof precision & happiness.
Hitting an irrigation head doesnt just rip up a reel and knife… check your bars too!

Awesome day of @SIPGrinders1902 training at Kirtland CC in OH for @968Trent! They had our machines over 100yrs ago! Pretty cool stuff!

Tasty, sugary koolaid. Doesn’t matter how old it is. I love seeing posts and stories like this: people SEEKING OUT old, used @SIPGrinders1902 machines because they know what these machines are capable of!
Install a couple upgrades, little freshen up, then game on! SIP world now 🏆

Had to jump the game a little bit with the restoration of the @SIPGrinders1902 grinders. So I had some @RustOleum Truck Bed liner left over. I didn't want to have this sitting on the shelf for too long. So did the surface of my reel grinder. It turned out pretty sweet, I think.

Had an awesome time at Desert Mountain yesterday to take new EM, TJ Vollmar, down the cutting unit rabbit hole on his @SIPGrinders1902! 7 courses, 15 techs, 6 sets of blue steel. Had fun driving Optimus Grind around some mountains for a nice change of scenery. Cutline is King!

Saturday evening vs. Monday morning.. so cool to be feeling confident with the @SIPGrinders1902 and seeing the cutting units are square or within a few thousandths of square every time we take them off a machine. Sphinx mountain is cool too I guess
