"Whitefield Academy 8th-graders and parents joined us for our monthly Volunteer Orientation this Saturday, followed by a City Walk to practice what we learn and teach. It was truly a pleasure to spend time with this amazing group!

Tis the season to give back! We had such an amazing with the families from our Welcome Home program! We provided hats and gloves for each family, arts and crafts and so much more. Thank you to the staff that helped and everyone who made this possible🙏

Carol Owmby has been, a meal Facilitator, a late night Guardian, a Concierge, and a Problem Solver. More than all of these titles, she has been ‘Like Jesus’. This frames poem that was a hand-me-down from our Founder, Philip Bray, sits above her desk at SHO.

Grace Point Church of the Nazarene is all in and is plowing the ground already! Yesterday, Impact Volunteer Coordinator, Jill, took the church out on a City Walk with their brand-new backpacks that carry hot beverages like hot chocolate and coffee for our friends on the street

SHO's Impact Team is focused on ensuring our volunteers are not just coming to plate food for nameless people experiencing homelessness, but rather developing relationships, growing in skills and effectiveness, as well as ensuring our volunteers are encouraged.
