I've seen horrific poverty in Africa, India and throughout Central America. And, I've been to Rome and witnessed the heroic work @WFP does throughout the world to help those most in need. This is the cruelest cut.

I interviewed Jimmy Carter at his childhood home in Plains. He was incredibly warm and kind. A week later, I received a handwritten thank you note from the former President thanking me for telling a story that featured his hometown. Amazing man!
