Yesterday, the entire Academy were involved in the annual DRET Santa Run. We thoroughly enjoyed closing off the year in style, whilst raising money for the Inspiration Fund. Thank you to our SGSFamily and the wider community for all of your fundraising support. 🎅🏼🦌 🎄

Our GCSE PE class have spent the past 2 days at The Showroom in Lincoln completing rock climbing as part of their NEA (non-exam assessment). Well done👏

Congratulations to our Year 7 Futsal team that travelled to Caistor Yarborough yesterday to face 4 other schools in our area. They came away winners of the tournament and only conceded 1 goal. Well done #TeamSGS 💚💛

Well done to our U15 cricket team playing in an indoor competition against Giles Academy & QEGS Alford. It was a brilliant chance to maintain their skills whilst enjoying competitive matches at this time of year, before the Spring when further opportunities will arise. #TeamSGS

Very proud of our U14 sports hall athletics team competing in the Coastal & Wolds Superzone competition today. They achieved a remarkable 2nd place, just 5 points from 1st! 🥈Well done on your fantastic individual results and brilliant support towards one another as a team. 👏

3rd across the Trust🥉 We were close to our 80% target and massively improved from the 2024 59% participation. Reward points have been awarded to individuals that participated. Massive congratulations to those who finished Rowvember in the top 3 for their year group/ gender.👏

Congratulations to MAGDALEN🖤our inter house rowing competition winners by only 154 metres - the closest inter house rowing we have had!! This result came down to the final day where Magdalen overtook Lumley to take the win. Lumley - 2nd Tennyson - 3rd Newton - 4th

Massive congratulations to our U12 County Cup football team that achieved a 2-0 victory against Sir Robert Pattinson Academy. They will now progress to round 3 of the competition..the quarter finals.💪💪 #TeamSGS 💚💛

Congratulations to the 7 SGS students representing DRET in the All Star Netball teams in training and competitive fixtures yesterday. Well done to the U15s who came away with a 31-14 win, and to Ava and Bella who both achieved coaches players of the match in their games. 👏💚

A huge well done to TeamSGS in the Superzone Cross Country competition on Friday. You gave 100% in your individual races and showed excellent support to your peers. 💚💛Congratulations to those who placed in the top 16 and qualified for the Lincs Schools County Finals👏

Congratulations to our fantastic rowers from year 7-11 that competed in the Coastal & Wolds Rowing championships yesterday. Both River and Martha earnt the title of superzone champions for their year group, and TeamSGS placed 2nd overall. Well done all💚💛

Our U15 footballers were in action yesterday against St Georges Academy in the County Cup. Unfortunately, the opposition took the win this time despite great efforts from TeamSGS. Well done to those taking part👏💚💛

So proud of the students representing TeamSGS in the DRET Rowing Cup. We achieved 2nd place overall from the 11 secondary academies. 12 medals were won, 6 of which were gold, 5 silver and 1 bronze. Another target of placing in the top 3 achieved!👏Well done #TeamSGS 💚💛
