25-year-old-me NEVER would’ve believed she’d one day be the keynote speaker at the Vermont Suicide Prevention Symposium today. 25-year-old me was too suicidal to think she’d even be alive today. So grateful to have been wrong. Don’t believe everything you think!

Oh, no. This adds to my worries that we’re going to see an increase in suicides — even more than usual, that is.
Musk is firing people who operate the Veterans Crisis Line. One of the most substantial and successful tools to fight veteran suicide today. They literally did a 2014 documentary about it that won an Oscar. Can someone point me to the outrage from the MAGA “we love the troops”.

I’m worried. The rapid collapse of longstanding institutions in the U.S. and beyond can affect people’s mental health. I fear suicide rates could increase, and let me tell you: I hope I’m wrong!

Well, it's true. The government's purging all sites with data about gender, HIV, & the phrase "pregnant people.". I know Trump's transphobic, which "explains" those deletions (inasmuch as they're explainable), but why does he find data on HIV offensive?.

Suicidologists & other interested folks, the YRBS* data are GONE. I was on the site last night & marveled it still said the 2023 YRBS included trans youth for the first time. I hope it’s just a glitch. I fear it’s not. (h/t @socworkpodcast). *Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance
