As the Brothers' winery in Napa grew, it became evident that expansion was necessary. In 1945, they acquiring the Mt. Tivy Winery in the San Joaquin Valley. This allowed them to shift the production of their sweet wines, vermouth, and brandy to the new facility at Mt. Tivy.

Br. Robert taught at 8 schools and apostolates in the NOSF District. His longest assignment was at Hilary House in Santa Fe, where he taught math. In between teaching assignments, he also earned two Master's degrees. Br. Robert served as a Lasallian Brother for 45 years.

Br. Tim joined the Brothers in the LINE District after serving in World War II. After nearly 30 years at LINE, Br. Tim transferred to the San Francisco District in the 1980s. He contributed to 7 schools and apostolates, serving for 70 years across both Districts. #Lasallian

Did you know that Christian Brother High School in Sacramento is celebrating its 150th anniversary? Looking back, here’s a snapshot from just 40 years ago of students at the 1985 Homecoming dance. Christian Brothers has been a #Lasallian school since its founding in 1876.

Br. Augustine taught math, chemistry, and religion at 5 schools in the San Francisco District over 41 years. 23 of those years were spent teaching at Cathedral High School in Los Angeles. In this photo, you can see Br. Augustine shaking hands with the lucky winner of a new car.

Villa La Salle in Martinez was the Juniorate and Novitiate for the San Francisco District Brothers until 1932. This 1920s photo shows the main building, rebuilt after a fire. The site included a small farm with orchards and vineyards. 📷: Ca. 1920, Villa La Salle, Martinez, CA.

This photograph captures a moment from 60 years ago during the homecoming car parade at Sacred Heart High School. That year, the parade stretched for 3 blocks, with the homecoming queen and princess riding in the lead car. Sacred Heart has been a #Lasallian school since 1874.

We're lucky to have historical ledgers from many of our older schools. These records are a goldmine for researchers looking into their family histories. Many have been thrilled to discover the names of their ancestors in ledgers like the one from Saint Joseph's Academy.

The women in this photo were part of the 1952 Mothers' Club at St. Mary's College High School in Berkeley. They played a crucial role in bringing the community together by organizing events to support the school. St. Mary's has been a #Lasallian institution since 1868.

A vibrant crowd gathered outside St. Michael's College for the 1930 dedication of a new grotto honoring the Virgin Mary. At the time this photo was taken, St. Michael's was a 71 years old. Established in 1859, it has been recognized as a distinguished #Lasallian institution.

This photo shows Saint Mary’s College during its years in Oakland, CA. The building, called ‘the old brickpile,’ was dismantled when the college moved to Moraga. Since 1868, Saint Mary’s has continued its #Lasallian tradition, fostering a community centered on learning.

Throughout his 64 years as a #Lasallian Brother, Br. Joseph taught at 8 schools and apostolates in 3 states in the NOSF District. He received the Outstanding Educator of America award in 1972 and the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science and Mathematics Teaching in 1985.

After being waitlisted by Notre Dame after high school, Br. Warren chose to become a #Lasallian Brother. Over 51 years, he served at eight schools and apostolates in the San Francisco District, offering his handyman skills and a helping hand wherever needed.

La Salle Catholic College Prep in Milwaukie, OR, was founded by the Lasallian Brothers and the Sisters of St. Mary’s of Oregon. This photo captures the 1965 groundbreaking ceremony, uniting both religious orders and the local diocese in celebration of a new beginning.

Br. Maurus began his service as a Brother in Canada, teaching at Lasallian schools there for 18 years. He later moved to the NOSF District, where he taught in Louisiana, except for 3 years spent studying in Canada. Br. Maurus served as a #Lasallian Brother for 43 years.
