SFI AutoShip is a new 8 years research-based innovation centre involving more than 20 partners and headed by NTNU, department of Engineering Cybernetics.

We are looking back on an eventful autumn in SFI AutoShip, such as this September visit to NCL Svelgen at Trondheim Havn container terminal in Orkanger. Researchers received a tour of the vessel and terminal, with useful input for our Use Case 2 on Short sea container shipping.

Ocean Autonomy Cluster organized a visit by the Minister of Trade, Jan Christian Vestre at NTNU Nyhavna May 9th. We were happy to get the opportunity to present our SFI AutoShip Centre, the new MIDAS competence building project and the NTNU Shore Control Lab.

The first SFI AutoShip days were arranged on the 15th and 16th of Sept. Almost 60 participants met physically in Trondheim for a varied programme with plenaries, parallel sessions and site visits.
