What a beautiful way to honor #salmon!
The Baykeeper boat decked out for the holidays with a radiant Chinook salmon, in honor of the Bay-Delta flows vote. Thank you to Baykeeper Skipper Fabio Ciulla for the fishy decoration that won the Jury’s Choice Award at the Lighted Boat Parade!

"today I am delighted and inspired! In the face of an actual hard choice (as compared to some win-win bullshit), the State Board got it right." https://t.co/8f4oUkfYIs

Essential reading here.
@CAWaterAlliance @CaWaterBoards Yes, they must, but weren't yet developed to a degree that can be analyzed--let alone voted on. Our vote in fact provides forward momentum, and a process by which we as a state, as Californians, and as a Board can give full weight and evaluation of the VAs.

@RyanSabalow Correction: Several environmental orgs participated in voluntary settlement discussions for years & left the room when it became clear that the proposal would not come anywhere close to protecting #SFBay or San Joaquin #salmon at levels required by state & fed law. #NoThereThere

Gary Bobker of @TheBayInstitute says of proposed voluntary agreements: A comprehensive plan is great—but a comprehensive plan with insufficient flows and habitat restoration is just a more efficient way of failing. @CaWaterBoards #voteyes4rivers

And you’ve spelled “unconscionable” better than I said it!
Darcie Luce from @SFEstuaryFriend tells @CaWaterBoards that continued inaction would be unconscionable and urges the board to #VoteYes4Rivers today.

Anthony Robinson of @FFSJstockton: "Without adequate fresh river flows from the San Joaquin River into the #Delta we will see more toxic algal blooms in our channels & sloughs. W/o adequate flows, there will be more potential for human contact with waterways loaded w/ bacteria."

California’s cities and farms can get their water from many sources, but #salmon can only get their #cawater from fresh, cold water in #carivers. TAKE ACTION at https://t.co/ZMC0alxfmS to tell @CaWaterBoards to vote YES to protect our rivers on Dec. 12! #VoteYes4Rivers

From the @latimes “We cross our fingers & hope the landscape can demonstrate enough resilience to keep the state beautiful, productive & alive; but ... we undermine nature’s efforts with our profligate use of water.” @CaWaterBoards: #VoteYes4Rivers
