The Urban Microalgae-Based Protein Production project has ended, advancing sustainable food systems for a growing global population. Aligned with SG's ‘30 by 30’, this collab explored microalgae as a nutritious, eco-friendly food source. Thanks to all our partners for the collab!

We had our last SEC #Townhall for the year on 14 November last week! We celebrated our #successes and connected with the team in person, hosting gatherings in both Singapore and Zurich for the first time.

Byron Pérez, PhD researcher under the Urban Microalgae-Based Protein Production project led by SEC, was awarded First Place in the GNT Young Scientist #Award 2024 at the 38th EFFoST International Conference in Bruges, #Belgium!

Talking about adapting to heat – Dr Natalia Borzino was at a talk by Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities at @sutdsg on 9 Oct. She presented her research on heat's effects on people, behavioural adaptation strategies & the devt of interventions for a more heat-resilient pop.
