Nothing in this world lasts forever, but this photograph, this frame, that held the last known member of its species to ever exist seemed especially profound and fitting for the theme of the album.

This is Martha, circa 1914. She was the last known passenger pigeon to ever live, and this photo of her is the one that graced the cover of “Impermanence In Light.” When trying to design the album cover, I wanted something that was emblematic of nature, of life, of impermanence.

Just arrived. This year I’ve gotten deep into listening to film & TV scores — to the point where it’s almost all I listen to these days. One of my favorites has been @Lornebalfe’s for “Mission: Impossible - Fallout.” Glad @MondoNews still had it available on vinyl. So stoked.

Social media is an echo chamber, but I’d be remiss in continuing to promote my music without acknowledging the dark times the U.S. is seeing right now. The fact that a woman’s body is less protected & more regulated than g*ns should be so very concerning to *everyone*.
