The @AAFFleet's playoff push -- AKA the greatest sports comeback since the 2004 Red Sox -- will have to take place without @GavinEscobar89. The Fleet placed him on the reserved/injured list Monday and re-signed TE Darryl Richardson.

In the wild scenario in which all five teams finish 5-5 and are all 1-1 against each other and are all 3-3 in conference, AZ would win the division (barring a 48-point loss in Week 10) and the other spot would go to either SD or SL. So we're telling you ... there's a chance.

What if San Diego and Salt Lake win by the same margins in Week 10? Whew! The next tiebreaker is net points in all games. Through Week 8, the Fleet are -3 and Salt Lake is -8. So re-calibrate that category after Week 9. And finally ...

After Week 8, both the Fleet and Salt Lake are tied at -9 in net conference points. If the Fleet, SL and SA finish 5-5, SA is eliminated because of net conf total. The playoff qualifier between SD and SL would be the team with the greater margin of victory in Week 10. BUT WAIT!

What about Salt Lake? You had to ask. If Salt Lake beats Atlanta in Week 9, then helps out the Fleet by beating SA in Week 10, they are also 5-5. And like all the others, SL would be 1-1 H2H with the Fleet and 3-3 in conference. So it again comes down to net conf points ...
