Unpopular opinion: Most folks would say they prefer the more simplified UI design of Zbrush for the Ipad. I'm the opposite. I actually wouldn't have minded Zbrush for the Ipad looking identical to the desktop version. Yeah it's cluttered but at least I could use my custom UI 😅

My kingdom right now for a 12-13” FULL WINDOWS tablet with a paperlike screen complete with a pressure sensitive pen that is excellent for drawing and powerful enough to run 3D apps and cost as much as an Ipad Air.

Sure, Blender is coming over to Ipad in the future. But if you’re NOT a Blender user and have built your entire 3D workflow around using other apps then this news might not be as helpful to you.

The app ecosystem on Android still has much to be desired. And as good as the Ipad is, if you’re a 3D artist, it’s not quite there yet. It has great POTENTIAL. It’s slowly getting there. But still not quite there. ALMOST I’d say. But still ways to go to be on par with a PC.

As much as I’m digging graphic tablet companies such as Huion, XP-Pen, Ugee and Wacom jumping over to the Android tablet scene, I genuinely wish there was a boom in more portable and powerful yet affordable standalone Windows tablets that are perfect for art on the go. #techrant

Blender is coming to Ipad. Zbrush, desktop and Ipad, will be getting retopology tools and a UV editor for manual UV unwrapping and organization. Can someone PLEASE make a dedicated 3D texturing app for PBR (realistic and stylized) and handpainted textures for Ipad? PLEASE!!!

I’m pleased to see art tablet giants like Wacom, Huion, XP Pen and Ugee joining the portable art tablet game but none of that matters if the variety of creative apps over on Android aren’t as wide or as good as on Ipad.

Apple needs to make their next gen Apple Pencil battery free. All that money to throw at a pencil that you have to charge. Meanwhile on the Android side of things, we got both XP Pen and Wacom dropping their BATTERY FREE pen tech that come in the box. FREE of charge.

Hey @Substance3D and @3DCoatOfficial, ya'll see that Zbrush and Blender are jumping onto the Ipad. Any chances of ya'll entering the ring too? Could REALLY just a solid 3D painting/procedural texturing app to 3D texture on the go. 🙏

So outside of the blog post, this is looking very much legit. Blender IS coming to Ipad. And it's going to remain FREE too. It looks like the full interface. I just need your texture painting features Blender! I WANT TO 3D PAINT ON THE GO!

I could be misreading this and 3D texturing may come but I dunno. I don't need another sculpting app for Ipad! That niche is SPOILED by now (Forger, Nomad, Sculptura, Uniform3D, ZBRUSH!) Is it too much to ask for a SOLID 3D TEXTURING/PAINTING APP for Ipad?! PLEASE!!

One of the great things about Blender is it all in one features. Next to Substance Painter and 3DCoat, Blender has tools for texturing - both handpainting and PBR? It's mentioned but ... not as an initial focus? Object manipulating and sculpting. What about texturing?

Excited because if Blender comes to Android then Android will FINALLY have a solid 3D app that can do it all - model, sculpt, texture, rig, animate and render. It’s nice to see Blender devs considering Android users too since very often they’re left out. So good on that front.

So … word on the street is, Blender plans to come to Ipad and eventually Android too. I am equal parts excited and a little peeved by this news. #blender #b3d
