These are all positive steps but there is still a need for the Legislature to act before the end of this years session to cut the red tape being used by project opponents to kill the modernizing of the state’s water delivery system for 27 million residents. Make your voice heard!.

Good news for California water! God forbid we should have a flexible, science based approach and not artificial constraints locked in over time.
DWR is grateful to the @CaWaterBoards for embracing the Healthy Rivers and Landscapes Program as part of its Bay-Delta Plan update released today. Working together, we can balance the conflicting demands for water in this extremely complex watershed.

He is right! Every year we get delayed, the cost rises and the water resource is wasted. Time for the Legislature to cut the red tape and move this forward to resolution.
FACT: Additional storage is of no use without water to store. If the Delta Conveyance Project had been in operation last year, it would have captured, 941,000 acre-feet last year, all while meeting fishery, water quality and other regulatory protections, and while more.
