Samuel Clemens High School graduate Eric Rabinowitz is a member of the Texas Lutheran University baseball team competing in the NCAA Division III World Series May 25-30 in Appleton, Wisconsin. Rabinowitz, who plays shortstop, comes into the tournament hitting .325 on the season.

SCUC is mourning the passing of Robert Reid, the Samuel Clemens High School alum who went on to a long and distinguished career in the NBA, most notably with the Houston Rockets. Reid, who died on February 19, 2024 was 68 years old.
