This morning, we welcomed PreK to campus! The PreK team welcomed them with open arms for a year of growing and learning.

Hello, kindergarten! Yesterday, we met the kindergarten girls, and today, the kindergarten boys. Tomorrow, they meet each other!

Welcome back, Eagles! Today was full of so many smiles and hugs. We love being back together and cannot wait to see all that God has for SCS in 25/26!

Welcome, Mrs. Jennifer Peeples! She is our new Admin Office Receptionist. She has been a strong part of the PTF and will be a great asset to the admin office. Come in to congratulate her when you drop off your students!

Welcome, Mrs. Hannah Speyers! She will join Mrs. Amy Parris, teaching 3rd grade. She will join her three students on campus. We know they will love seeing her in the halls and the elementary team is so excited to welcome her!

For years, Mrs. Cherika Harris volunteered in the Eagles Nest, & this year she will manage it! She is well-acquainted with the store & so many of our students. She is busy getting the store stocked and will be ready to fly on Tuesday, September 2! Come in that day to welcome her!

We welcome another new HS teacher, Mr. Brandon Lane! Mr. Lane will teach chemistry. Each day, he will bring his two students, and we are eager to welcome the whole Lane family to the community!

Welcome, Mrs. Aleea Armijo! Mrs. Armijo joins our HS staff. She is the Director of Academic Services and will also teach math classes. We are excited for what she will bring to the team. Welcome to the whole Armijo family!

Last year, Mrs. Jackie Green stepped in when Mrs. Peters' left her 5th-grade class to become a mom. This year, Mrs. Green is setting up the classroom as her very own. We are so grateful she stepped in when needed and thrilled to have her this year!

Alum, Ms. Katie Beth Hostetter ('96) has taken a new position! We welcome her as the HS dean. She will focus on continuing to support the incredible HS culture. She can still be found teaching English & directing the school play. We are so grateful for the way she loves SCS!

At the 1975 50th Reunion this summer, alum Ron Pew donated a 3-D printed replica of a pachycephalosaur, Dracorex hogwartsia. ⁠⁠We love to see a love of learning in former students. He combined some of the lessons with his generosity by gifting the school with this replica.

It's hard to believe that next month we will be back together! We are dreaming of our Back to School Family Gathering on Thursday, August 21. It's a fun night of games, worship, and connecting with the SCS community. Mark your calendars to join us!

Of course, chapel is fun. Mr. Baughman and Mr. Featherstone really enjoyed this illustration with chocolate milk. Like the chocolate milk, it is our prayer that our students and staff overflow with hope!

Our elementary and MS chess teams have had incredible success since it's start. We love celebrating them!

We love to see students dreaming of adventure. Where will they go? What will they see? We can't wait to hear!
