"Children must never know what it feels like when rockets rain down on their cities — yet this is their reality in Ukraine. Last night, children were killed and injured, homes reduced to ruins, and a hospital burned. Children must be protected," says Sonia Khush, @SCIUkraine.

In #Ukraine, children continued to be killed and injured in their homes and playgrounds as the war rages on. On the eve of a new school year, they should be excited to meet friends—not fearing for their lives. Children must never be a target. #ActForHumanity

💡 Childhood should sound like laughter, not air raid sirens. Due to constant shelling and destruction, thousands of Ukrainian schoolchildren have lost friends, routines, and a sense of normal life. But we believe it’s possible to bring some sense of normalcy back.

This is not what a family apartment should look like. This is not what a child’s life should look like. Today, a child was killed and 11 more were reportedly injured as a result of a nighttime missile and drone attack on  #Kyiv. Children must be protected!
