On the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, we celebrate the profound significance of the cross in our faith. We are blessed to have a relic of the True Cross embedded in the sanctuary cross at Cathedral, a reminder of Christ's sacrifice and love for us. πβοΈ #HolyCross

We just concluded our beautiful annual chrism Mass at @SCCathedral . I thank our priests, deacons and the faithful for attending. I blessed the oils and sacred chrism that will be used in our churches in the next year and the priests all renewed their ordination promises.

We had a beautiful bilingual Memorial Mass this evening for families of children who died before baptism. Thank you to all who came to Mass as we remembered your child. I pray we provided some comfort. God bless you all. #nwiowacatholic @SCCathedral

The Eucharistic Revival has officially kicked off! Many parishes in the diocese held similar processions like the Cathedral Parish where @scdiocesebishop celebrated the Feast of #CorpusChristi including a Eucharistic procession. @SCCathedral @USCCB

There has been much discussion in the news about the pope's 7/16 announcement regarding the Latin Mass. There may also be confusion about the announcement. Please read my July 19 statement on our website: https://t.co/zUxB90IqmD
