A special thank you to @JoshuaFurnal and @ChronHib for helping trace the former owner inscription to the Schongau Monastery of the Discalced Carmelites founded in 1719 which is now a retirement home in Germany. #provenance @CERL_org
Another treasure of @SCA_MULibrary unique to our little island. The smallest (and possibly cutest) incunabulum catalogued to date. This little book features a woodcut image of Adam & Eve and the snake looking quite fed up! 🐍 RB 22 A/B, Basel, 1492 #incunabula #rarebooks

I ❤️ an incunable Friday! Today we have a lovely medium-sized book on ecclesiastical history from 1497 by Eusebius with this lovely woodcut printer’s device by Pierre Levet. Another incunable that is the only copy in Ireland according to the ISTC! #FridayFeeling
