A2. You can see that there is a huge gap today. Most organizations understand the need of using data. But, a challenge with asking the “right questions” and using relevant data. #saschat

A5. Ofcourse you think of Moneyball and baseball as the the blueprint in sports. However some examples like expected goals and micro-stats in team analysis and coaching tactics is some of the “normal” examples as well as drafts. #saschat

A3. What do we want to achieve? What is our goal? If we know that we can start and see how tech can help you solve the single problem. If you have a data scientist, put him at a management table to have equal voice over decisions. Like other industries #saschat

A2. Its treated way more seriously today. I´m a huge NHL fan and every team has their own analytic teams to look on play by play and match up, which is cool! But there is a huge gap how the teams utilize the insights. It doesn´t turn into decisions in many cases #saschat

A1. Global sports market being one of the biggest industries = analytics is playing an important role to get that competitive advantage. Everything from how you draft/buy a player. Strategies towards another team. How to train better all the way to fan experience. #saschat

#saschat A5 We have an impressive booth as always. But my personal highlight will be the bootcamp we have put together with AWS. 3 themes, innovation, supply chain and personalization. We have a world class line up of speakers who will address the topics . And mingle with peers!
