This was an interesting and emotional story. Never what I anticipated, but always the perfect continuation of the exploration of family ties. Some name changes confused made it hard to follow every once in awhile, but easy to quickly get back on track.

There will be NO SCHOOL at USD 480 today, Friday, January 9, 2026. This is out of an abundance of caution with the expectation of worsening conditions throughout the day. Please stay safe.

This is the 9th book in this series. Still love them. Great character development and continuation of storylines, with new characters and stories to the mix. Leisure reading.

Fever 1793 is a young adult historical novel by Laurie Halse Anderson about a 14-year-old girl, Mattie Cook, who must survive the devastating yellow fever epidemic that struck Philadelphia in 1793, the capital of the new United States. Not bad. Not great. Quick read.

Started this project a couple months ago & life kept getting in the way. It’s been a complete pain in the butt, but I just finished it and kinda love it.

Last book for 2025. It was a quick read. Very sarcastic and humorous. Definitely crass. A bit much after the last book. Some great one-liners in here.

This book made me angry & ripped my heart out. I hated the little boy for his ignorance, yet felt sorry for him as well. I despised the entire family, for different reasons. If you’re able to sit in discomfort, this is a short but powerful read.
