ā€œCooking and eating should be all about feeling calm. When you come home from work and there’s a slow-cooked healthy meal that’s ready to eat, it just feels so nourishing. There’s really nothing else like it.ā€ https://t.co/xJeZdFfgQk

Food that's been cooked low and slow - in an electric slow cooker, tagine or Dutch oven on the stove - not only tastes nourishing but it's one big nutritional kick in a bowl.

"These crispy golden doughnut balls drenched in syrup are a treat, despite only requiring a handful of ingredients. They may look small but they are mighty. I cover mine with crushed pistachios to give them a nice contrast of texture and colour." https://t.co/5rbO5gy9b3

"Hi, my name is Farah and I’ve become a baklava snob... Baklava, for my family, like for so many others, marks the end of Ramadan, the beginning of either Eid al-Fitr or Eid al-Adha – a special time that is also a pastry celebration of syrupy proportions."

"I'm awoken at 4am by plates clinking and the microwave beeping. If the neighbour across the road happens to get out of bed soon, he'll see my family sitting at the table, voraciously scooping up eggs, falafel, cucumber salad and a mysterious brown dip." https://t.co/BUi1ZO7780

"She appeared out of nowhere, the girl making gorditas... She ladled a tortilla into hot oil until it was golden & puffy, then filled it with coriander, onion & tomatillos. She stuffed it with chicharrón (pork rind), which perfumed the air with smokiness." https://t.co/AEkQC2r7Ct

After breaking our fast in the early hours of Easter Sunday, the egg cracking competition is on. The cracking symbolises Jesus' resurrection and departure from his tomb. Everyone grabs a red egg and goes head-to-head, tapping the eggs against each other.

"A Mumbai day trip was no mean feat; it had to be meticulously planned and executed well. But it was worth it... Every road that led to the college library had a food cart or a restaurant that was known for something special." https://t.co/1Hy0fqFLhl

My grandpa passed away on the 27th of December 2022. I couldn't stop my tears, even though he left peacefully at the age of 87. Nothing could be the same without him, and no one could cook ba si di gua (Chinese candied sweet potatoes) like him. @SBSFood https://t.co/4EOxkbOPNn
