Year 10 have read the novella ' A Christmas Carol' during English lessons. They are revising in a creative, yet memorable style, by cutting and sticking and adding events, quotations, and ideas to the Christmas tree!

50 Things to do at SBL Academy is fully underway. It was great to present badges to students during House assemblies at the end of Term 1 and it will be exciting to see how many badges will be presented during the Christmas celebration assemblies.

🌺 Today on Armistice day, we will remember them. 🌺 We would like to share a poem, written by one of our students, which was published as the lead poem in the book titled 'Lest we forget - A moment of silence' by the Young Writers.

Jodrell Bank turns 80! 80 years ago, the astronomer Sir Bernard Lovell transformed a field in Cheshire into a UNESCO World heritage site when he built the UK's largest radio telescope at Jodrell Bank. Listen to Dr Bassford on this morning's @BBCBristol broadcast with Joe Sims

SBL held their remembrance service today, ahead of remembrance Sunday with a whole school participation who beautifully observed the two-minute silence. Thank you to those who courageously gave their lives, and to those who bravely fight today.
