Canada just got played on energy. Trudeau said there was ā€œno business caseā€ for LNG. Europe just signed a $750B oil and gas deal with the U.S. Canada killed projects, lost $660B in investment, 200,000 jobs, and $50B in yearly revenue . Full breakdown →

35% tariffs. Budget delayed. Jobs cut. Palestine recognized. None of this was on the ballot. Twelve weeks in, Mark Carney’s rĆ©sumĆ© isn’t the problem. His honesty is. @gregbradyx

Beyond parody are armchair economists telling the industry how more regulation is actually good for the industry. ā€œC-69 is like ā€˜poisonā€™ā€ TC Energy VP. Over regulation by Canada has cost $660 billion in lost projects.

Why it matters:.Fewer taxpayers to fund health & pensions.Shrinking labour force.Immigration helps, but doesn’t solve aging demographics. Family policy = economic policy. IVF, childcare, housing costs, all part of the same conversation.

Recognizing a state governed by Hamas is recognizing Hamas. That's basic. And it'll make two things happen. One, it'll prolong the war, because Hamas will have no incentive to end it. Two, it'll have zero (0) impact on Israel. Bibi is strengthened by isolation. So stupid.

Facts? The ideology you defend left Canadians poorer, food bank use at record highs, housing out of reach, and healthcare collapsing. $660B in energy projects gone, 200,000 jobs lost, higher costs for everything. The U.S. built LNG. We built red tape.

Alberta, BC, Quebec all lost projects because federal policy made Canada uninvestable compared to the U.S. When 20+ projects die across five provinces, that’s not ā€œQuebec’s veto.ā€ That’s national policy failure.

Quebec vetoed Saguenay LNG but only after years of federal delays and Bill C‑69 goalposts that killed investor confidence across every LNG project in the country. Respect provincial rights? Fine. But Ottawa sets the regulatory climate.

The U.S. faced the same markets, same Russia shock, and built out LNG to become the world’s top exporter. Canada had 20+ proposals and we have one terminal today. That is the story.

Northern Gateway and Energy East were also killed after Ottawa moved the goalposts: tanker bans, upstream GHG assessments, and endless consultations. Investors pulled out because Canada became uninvestable.

No LNG projects shut down by Ottawa?. Tell that to Pacific Northwest LNG (approved, then abandoned after federal delays), Aurora LNG, Grassy Point LNG, and WCC LNG all canceled after Bill C‑69 and new Liberal regulatory hurdles shifted timelines and costs.

The U.S. faced the same markets and built out LNG export capacity to become #1 in the world. Canada stalled. That’s not coincidence. That’s bad policy. We should be #1.
