I am lost... We are in the era of AI, everyone can do something without knowledge and I don't know if I should just do like them rely on AI than waste a lot of time learning 2-3 languages, frameworks just to be remplaced by a program in the end... This is sad π

I within my class they are a lot who come with apps but can just explain how authentification work because AI spawned the code with comments your brain retain temporarily but because there wasn't any effort to have that info it just go away after few days

U just get the result of your thinking bur with vibe coding you don't code so you don't think. Prompting an AI to write a function that return some value is not thinking let alone saying thing like build the auth system...it is the same as saying that people who come to engineers

For me AI must be great now but will surely decrease the thinking because people think that it is the same as using a calculator for a mathematician but not...when u use a calculator you already made the reasoning and logic to have an expression so that the calculator just help..

I wanted to do something without necessarily starting with AI my brain was blank like I could read a piece of code and have a surface understanding, I could connect some route on the wave of building but when I want to do something on my own it just go blank

It is just my pov. I'm doing and High National Diploma in software engineer and last year when we had homework is used AI to vibe code things that worked a lot, but you will not learn to code at all. It seems like I could do things but every time(1)
@ELKIRA5 @NathanGeckler no actually i learned to code first i have been in it for 10 years, but from experienc ei feel like people can learn coding with vibecoding especially people that want to builkd stuff without becoming real engineers
