I've done both, this is from experience. The first one with the jump and pull was way more fun to make and more fun to look at. Came out cleaner too I think.

Theres a lot of clear arcs with fantastic weight going on here, probably really fun for the art even if the designs could be a pain. The camera movement being referenced is like a car driving with hair blowing, so theres no fun arcs, just a lot of meticulous things to track.

May be surprising, but the weightier animation here is actually easier to pull off despite the much more detailed designs being harder to draw. A camera movement requires a lot of meticulous drawings and animation with less spacing between frames is easier to screw up.
I’m thinking about that Simpsons animator saying like a 45 degree panning shot was impossible in the 90’s meanwhile Japan was putting out shit like this at the same time

I've been using twitter a lot to study Japanese recently. Phrases and words that are related to areas of interest for me (film/animation/coffee/boobs) or just well phrased/funny tweets go right into AnkiDroid.

Youtube actually has the same problem as old TV did for me now, where theres so much on but nothing to watch! I'm falling back into "Early 2000s Adult Swim Compilation" rabbit holes instead of watching any actual creators.
