Moving physical đź’° in #SouthSudan is no easy task. Encouraging to see mobile $ being tested. Fast movement of funds can be a lifesaving diff. Mobile is faster, more secure, & more cost effective route over traditional models. Great to see @WFP_SouthSudan moving to this model.

What a positive shift from a year ago - #Zambia was grappling with severe drought conditions. Great for farmers & the economic recovery & transition underway across the country. Right now there are many exciting initiatives & growth stories in the agri-sector across Zambia.
Zambia 🇿🇲 will be exporting 500,000 MT of maize 🌽 this year to surrounding countries as it continues on its track to eventually being the breadbasket of Africa.

The financial sector in #SouthSudan wont mature unless the BoSS has the training, tools, & infrastructure to manage the sector effectively. It is near impossible to supervise institutions when they lack the basics to achieve the mandate. UAE is a credible technical partner.

Any efforts to strengthen Central Bank of #SouthSudan is welcome. UAE's CB has proven strength, recently pushed significant reforms in their fin sector. For years BoSS has been pushing for switching & payment systems, UAE involvement may move this from discussion to reality.
