Pretty much everything that could’ve gone wrong tonight did, and you still beat a good team on a neutral floor.

JT Toppin doing a lot of the heavy lifting here early, pouring in 12 of the Red Raiders’ 25 points so far.

This team is playing with a level of speed and juice that I’m not sure I’ve seen this season. Impressive, particularly after the travel.

What a start for the Red Raiders, who just made three threes in a row. Atwell, Anderson, and Bryan all cash one in.

Arizona is very, very, very good. And there’s still a lot of reason to believe they can get better.

Been really impressed with Wake Forest lead guard Nate Calmese while watching film on the Deacs this week. Plays with great pace in the PnR, sees the floor clearly, and a very capable spot up shooter. 46.7 3P%, 4.0 AST/TOV ratio. A guy to watch out for tomorrow night.

A lot of talk this week headed into Baha Mar will revolve around a potential Purdue matchup, but overlooking Wake Forest would be a mistake. Deacs play incredibly fast, turn opponents over, defend the perimeter very well, and crash the offensive glass. Good team.

Christian Anderson looks like a completely different player than who he was last year. Once a score-first, primarily off-ball guard, Anderson is now playing like the best point guard in the country. More for @GamblinGauchos Patreon subscribers ⤵️ https://t.co/e679o7imhi

Wrote about what I’m #noticing from Texas Tech basketball through four games, including: - The offensive vs. defensive splits - Christian Anderson’s new role - The odd offensive/defensive rebounding disparity For @GamblinGauchos Patreon subs: https://t.co/e679o7imhi

MY WEEK TWO BIG 12 BASKETBALL POWER RANKINGS Movement was much less dramatic after last week compared to the season opener, but we’re in store for a week of monster games across the league. Brace yourself.
