As a fashion designer, I can tell you maíre is right. A Headdress was not something someone could wear lightly, it is not an accessory. It is a cultural piece.
for those who may not know, even amongst indigenous peoples wearing a headdress is an honour that is earned. it can carry deep spiritual or ceremonial meaning & often worn only for special occasions or traditions. its inappropriate & wrong to be used as a fashion accessory
