Held under the theme “Artificial Intelligence and Law Reform in Africa: Re-imagining the Role of Law Reform Agencies in the Digital Era,” the conference brings together key institutions from across the region to exchange ideas and advance collaborative law reform.

Today, Mrs. Dushimimana Claudine, RLRC Chairperson, has joined Law Commissoners of the region at the Conference and Annual General Meeting of the Association of Law Reform Agencies of Eastern and Southern Africa (ALRAESA) in Lilongwe, Malawi.

The NPSC stressed the risks of HR malpractices such as wrongful terminations, which cost institutions financially and reputationally. RLRC was commended for strong internal controls, with zero losses recorded in the past two years.

Today, @npscrwanda led by Executive Secretary Angelina Muganza, held a dialogue with RLRC on code of conduct and professional ethics. RLRC Chairperson Dushimimana Claudine welcomed the session as a timely reminder of integrity in public service.

Ms. Dushimimana expressed gratitude to H.E. the President of the Republic of Rwanda for the trust placed in her and pledged full dedication to RLRC’s mission. She called for teamwork and a shared sense of purpose as key drivers in delivering quality work.

Ms. Claudine Dushimimana officially assumed office today as Chairperson of the Rwanda Law Reform Commission during a handover ceremony in which Vice Chairperson Ms. Burayobera Bibiane, who had been serving in an acting capacity, formally passed on the responsibilities.

Rt. Hon. Mukantaganzwa highlighted RLRC’s role as Rwanda’s key legal reform body, wishing the new Chairperson success in advancing law analysis, drafting, harmonization, and legislative development with dedication and excellence.

Ms. Claudine Dushimimana was sworn in today as Chairperson of the Rwanda Law Reform Commission, following her Cabinet appointment. The ceremony was presided over by Rt. Hon. Mukantaganzwa Domitilla, President of the Supreme Court.
