4I have been learning about Tertiary colours. They observed parts of a plant using magnifiers and viewfinders, drew sketches following close observation - creating abstract paintings. They developed techniques of overpainting and made their own tertiary colours.

Yr 1 went to St Laurence's Church to see Father Charles. We got to dress up in Father Charles’ clothing: albs and cassocks. We looked around the church and we had to tick off items that we found that we’ve learnt about in class .

Zoolab came to visit! We saw a giant snail, a cockroach, a frog that climbed our wall, a scorpion and a corn snake. We dressed up as animals and we had a fantastic day!

Today Year 1 dressed up as their favourite animal for an animal workshop. The workshop linked to our CUSP science topic. We learnt lots of interesting facts about various animals and got a chance to hold a corn snake, hissing cockroach and a giant African snail @ZooLabUK

Yr 6 have been busy "tugging on heart strings" as they started their new CUSP Science block: "Circulatory system" exploring the anatomy of a heart. @baronbedford @UnitySchoolsP

Yr 2s work from the CUSP Art block: "Mark making using mixed media and paint." Children created work on collaged mixed media, made large collaborative paintings working to music, then explored various mark-making techniques such as stippling and spirals, and ideas like contrast.

Year 3 discovered that an angle is the amount of turn from two lines that share a fixed point (vertex). They used angle checkers to investigate whether the length of the lines affects the size of the angle created; they concluded that it does not! @LSE_MathsHub @RusheyGPrimary
