In 2015, a Minnesota-based dairy company moved into Cochise County. Since then, locals watched as the company’s extensive groundwater pumping has contributed to the rapid decline of the basin. Last week, Attorney General Kris Mayes announced an $11 mill settlement agreement.

On Wednesday, we attended the Pinal County Board of Supervisors meeting to express our disproval of the 287g Agreement, which would partner Pinal County with DHS. Our Organizing Director, Andrea Varela, shares the dangers of the 287g Agreement:
