Defence remains one of the big bugbears for @wallabies . Australia have played 28 Tests since RWC23. In 16 of those 28 we've conceded four or more tries. Our record: W 3 L 13. Whatever we are doing is simply not working.

Itâs probably worth acknowledging Tupou. I think itâs fair to say his super rugby season was less than average. Whether itâs a mindset or fitness change, his Wallaby season has been very good with quite arguably some of his best games in gold. Will be fascinating how France goes.

A loss is a loss but good to see some positives for the Wallabies. Better intent in attack but the discipline killed them again. Itâs been some season. Some incredible highs that will long live in my memory. Some shockers which Iâll blank out. Bring on 2026. And the 7s season

Khawaja played golf in Perth on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday before the Test began Friday. He suffered back spasms on Friday, as per CA. He has made one Test century since June 2023.

As a guy who grew up watching Allan Border grind out innings after innings, toughing it out against the worldâs best bowlers, a day like this is fairly pathetic.
