Personally, I liked the game, but if I judge objectively, gameplay in this game is just normal, but cause of gameplay problems that i explained above it almost falling into mediocre Final Rank: B-

But when i started listening music from Sound Mode, i found lot of battle tracks what i dont heard in game (example: eternal spirits arise), maybe they playing in hard mode dungeons.

Music in this game is awesome, but for me was not enough of battle music, because only several bosses have their own battle theme. Even in final location in battle with regular plays common battle music which gets really boring over the course of 25 hours.

Biggest adv of game: artstyle. Despite being a JRPG, it doesn't look like generic anime; it feels more like the Berserk art style. There's literally Guts here (2), but there are also issues, like the character having blond hair on in-game sprites but green in the big art Pic (3)

To be honest this is second problem of the game, lot of mechanics game not explain to you and most them you need to research on forums.

In the Arkadian ruins, you need to reach the upper floor, but there are no platforms. You need to place crystal on the ceiling and blast it; afterward, you can step on the falling dust as if it were a platform. The game never taught you anything like this before.

Also Platforming sections was annoying despite what there was few of them, because jumps in this game works like in Castlevania, and some mechanics game dont want explain to you.

This is a problem because many bosses have ultimates that can wipe out the entire squad at once. But if you use both of these perks, most bosses can't do anything to you, only if Guts doesn't work or you run out of Union Plumes will you lose the battle.

Also most of needed perks can be open in dungeons. But this system have problem - meta perks that is necessery, cause without them you will not be possible to beat game, example: Auto item and Guts. First one let char use item without spend turn Second will not let character die

Level up's don't have much effect on HP and damage, main effect happend from character perks what you buy for char points, but some perks are useless, Monster int and etc. dont make any effect and need only for character transfer.

It's not perfect game at all, but it stands out from the others JRPG. First thing about this game that popped into my memory, was battle system, it very different from any other JRPG, and more feals like a fighting game. Upgrade system is very different from standart JRPG.

Today i beat Valkyrie Profile, and that was awesome. In fact that was my first JRPG that i complete. In first time i saw this game in video compilation of games that harder on easy mode than on hard mode. After few years i tried to find it, and thanks to ChatGPT i found it.
