Per my sources, Cal GM Ron Rivera is targeting Troy Taylor as the program’s next head football coach. Taylor’s sexism lessons conflict with the team’s practice schedule but the hope is the players will be willing to adjust their routine for Taylor, a former Cal QB and broadcaster

Congrats and thank you to Jerod for taking over as guest coach for the Card over the last 11 minutes of the game

One thing I need to know is who’s starting at QB for the Card, but the staff has cleverly elected to give a dead link on the depth charts page for this week. First deployed by Aaron Glenn around a month ago, hiding your QB starter forces the opponent to prepare for multiple bums

Tough break for Cal's QB room just ahead of Big Game, especially knowing that JKS intends to enter the portal after the conclusion of the season. The exodus of QBs from their program (in this case, even before enrolling) is similar to what happened to them at RB last year
BREAKING: Class of 2026 QB Brady Palmer has Decommitted from Cal, he tells me for @rivals The 6’2 205 QB from San Diego, CA had been Committed to the Golden Bears since June He currently holds a total of 17 offers https://t.co/rL50YNAnij

A commit for the Card during Big Game week? That's right: Stanford has secured the services of a REMARKABLE prospect. Uncertainty abounds with the season wrapping up, but if this is the final recruit this staff brings in, let it be known that this is, for them, a *legacy signing*

CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens being benched for no apparent reason reminds me of when Jerod would sit Daejon Davis and Bryce Wills, except those two were superstar players whereas the Cowboys benefit from KaVontae Turpin seeing additional snaps
Breaking: CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens both weren’t on the field AT ALL in Dallas’ first drive. Cowboys PR told the broadcast that it was a coaches decision. Seems disciplinary.

Was disappointed to hear someone ask a question suggesting that no player on the current roster has won Big Game and what that means - it’s not true! “Bryce the Rice” Farrell helped the Card throttle Cal in 2020 for The Stanford Axe, and he absolutely knows the taste of victory
Frank Reich is live for this week’s press conference as we get set to host Cal for the 128th Big Game.

Impressive, but the most dedicated player I've ever seen isn't in the NBA — he's playing in Peru. I remember back on the Farm when Keenan Fitzmorris would go to the gym *after games* and put up shot after shot, dunk after dunk. It's no surprise he's dominating for Regatas Lima
NEW FEATURE: Luka Garza – who grew up a Celtics fan – got up 12,000 more practice shots than any player in the NBA last year. His father, Frank, preached patience: “I just had to believe someone was paying attention. And of course it was Brad Stevens.” https://t.co/NOjLB51i9e

Per my sources, Stanford has requested that Elijah Brown return all his NIL payments to Lifetime Cardinal. The money will be donated a local charity focused on preventing money from being taken inappropriately from elders through romantic relationships of disproportionate age

Great to see Kyu Blu Kelly dominating against Bo Nix in the NFL just as he did in college. Longtime fans will remember when Nix was benched in the 2nd half at Autzen Stadium against Stanford in 2022 as the Card outscored Oregon 24-14 over the last 20 minutes of the game

What I love most about the 2025-26 Cardinal squad is how it combines talent from all levels. Jeremy Dent-Smith scored 1,402 points at DII Cal State Dominguez; AJ Rohosy averaged a double-double for DIII Claremont-Mudd-Scripps; Ebuka Okorie played his HS ball in New Hampshire

In his first 5 years on the Farm, "Bryce the Rice" totaled 323 receiving yards. He has 421 this season alone through 9 games, much to the credit of Ben Gulbranson (caveat that the recent lower previous totals were entirely to the credit of Mr. Sexist Coach). Proud of these guys

Stanford’s newest commit is a BEAST on the field and in the classroom, paving roads between the white lines and boasting a 3.92 GPA to boot. He picked Stanford over Washington, Texas A&M, the top in-state programs in AZ, and more. Brilliant decision. Welcome to the Farm, Ben!
Thank you so much @StanfordFball for the amazing experience! It was an amazing game and atmosphere, absolutely unforgettable!! #GoCardinal

Why not throw to Myles Conservativeman

STAT: Per my charting, Ben Gulbranson’s 12 turnover worthy plays in the 1st half are the most by a Stanford QB in a half since Ashten Daniels in 2022 (2nd half vs. Cal). Dr. Ben seeks to perform surgery on his performance and remedy it to keep the Card undefeated at home

I don't care that it was an exhibition — Ebuka Okorie just had a Stanford debut FOR THE AGES. Okorie's performance was the best debut by a Cardinal since Michael Jones, who scored 31 points against Pacific back in Nov 2022 & while "Bones" never exceeded his opener Okorie will
