Anyone familiar with Andrew Thirkhill knows Leeds Rhinos runs through his DNA. When you live and breathe a club like he has, it seems inexplicable to suddenly buy a rival. It’s obvious he has bought Hull FC purely as a ‘vehicle’ to publicly rehabilitate his errant son-in-law.

Brian Lockwood was a ‘winner’. In just two full seasons at Hull KR, he helped us end a 54-year Championship drought and land our only ever Challenge Cup (winning the Lance Todd Trophy). In addition, he was a World Cup winner who never lost in six Wembley starts. RIP legend.🙌

You couldn’t make this up. I’m not surprised Manly are clearly angered. Hull FC’s desire to ‘spin’ anything and everything with such abnormal zeal is the reason it’s become increasingly hard to take it seriously. 🥴 It starts at the top. 🤷🏻♂️

Congratulations Mitch on a fantastic career, and thanks for everything you did in a Hull KR shirt. We knew you were often playing through the pain barrier, but you always led from the front, especially in those two famous Derby wins in that 2019 season. Full respect. 🙌
