I didn't have access to #AT40 in fall '74. I'm not positive I've ever heard Brownsville Station, "Kings of the Party" before. There are other songs in the top 20 this week that I knew, but never heard at the time, too.

I'm impressed that reading poetry to his dates worked so well for Neil Diamond. It probably helped that he *was* Neil Diamond. #AT40.

Four hours ago, I wrote an article expressing surprise that nobody else was doing the Magic/Miami format of English-language oldies/Spanish-language jocks. Now it's in Orlando.

This is definitely a station that some of my Saturday #AT40 crowd would enjoy. A slightly different version of '60s and '70s than anybody else.

"Isn't She Lovely" was never a single, so Stevie Wonder's "Another Star" is the one we're hearing on #AT40.

Just noticing how much Wings' "Arrow Through Me" sounds like Robert Palmer's "Every Kinda People" from about a year earlier (typical incubation time for being influenced by what's on the radio). #AT40.

"I Know a Heartache When I See One" was a better country-soft rock single than Linda Ronstadt made that year. Also, you can hear echoes of it in a recent Country #1. (Listen to the first two lines of the chorus.) #AT40

Okay, it's a technicality, but with True Oldies Channel on 92.3-HD3, "WINS" is playing "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" by the Animals for the first time since just before its format change in 1965. @ScottShannonDJ.

As far as "Graffiti/Grease-era" pastiche hits go, "Street Singin'" is far better than "'65 Love Affair," not the least of which because it sounds like it actually could be from that era. #AT40.
