I have an entire proposal in my head but nothing written on paper. The deadline is in 3 weeks. Is this even possible? #ProcrastinationIsMyFriend

@RossLabUC “The proposal in the head”part is the hardest part. You’re already halfway there. Aim for two weeks so you can get someone else to read it in the last week :) good luck

@RossLabUC Yep, arriving the narrative is the rate-limiting step. The rest is trivial. I once did an R21 in 4 days (funded). Staid home, lotsa coffee, and LOTR soundtrack for background.

@RossLabUC It is. First, just #GWOP . Get Words On Paper. Don't edit at the same time. Just blurt words, ideas, phrases, etc., to get them downloaded from your brain. THEN, in a separate session, edit. Also, use a timer. And hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. You can do this.

@RossLabUC Very possible! You just need to start putting down whatever comes to your mind.

@RossLabUC Not in academia, but please consider talk to text to get your thoughts on paper. You can do this in small of time and edit.

@RossLabUC I’m going to be honest and say no. Let yourself off the hook. Hit it the next cycle and make sure to build in time to get lots of feedback and professional editing if possible. Rushed will read rushed.

@RossLabUC This is one of the situations chatGPT might help. Do some word vomiting and ask it to summarize. Then you have something to start editing!
