When you get to work with the men and women of our Armed Services day in and day out, you can’t help but believe that we have a sacred obligation to them. I will ensure that when our service members return home we take care of them the way they took care of us.

Good for Gen. Milley. A welcome contrast to Trump, who never apologizes for anything.

We should note, GEN Milley apologized at a graduation of the National Defense University. A school I went to. The audience was senior government leaders - military Colonels and Captains, interagency executives - studying national security. The exact right audience.

Here’s the top military official in the U.S., the chairman of the joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, saying it was a mistake for him to be seen walking with POTUS, across Lafayette square, for a photo op in front of a D.C. church. Here he explains why it was a mistake.

Leadership is knowing when to admit wrongdoings and stand up for what's right. I applaud General Milley for his respectful words, and agree that we should not have a military presence at peaceful protests.
