One of the people on the workshop actually complimented my idea to first move my current set-up into a new case. They said it's the best way to practice building a PC as you don't have to start from scratch but it helps you learn A LOT. Very excited to actually do this 👏

An important part of overclocking is being able to keep your PC cool while you push it's limits. They had a live demo where I got to pour liquid nitrogen into an actual RUNNING pc! The temperature got down to below -100C. Absolutely bonkers! Inner nerd was happy!

I had heard the term overclocking before but never really understood what it meant. At the workshop I could see it in practice, including all the steps needed to actually do it! I love how creative people get to push their tech to the maximum levels!

Graphic cards can vary in sizes A LOT. Not only does the type of graphics card matter but also different editions of the same card can have different sizes. Knowing what you want will help your pick all the other parts around it!

When I was picking out the parts for my first PC build (made by someone else) I did not have a budget in mind which meant I basically went waaaay overboard. I think this is maybe the most important tip I got because I wish I had actually done this haha

The coolest thing was seeing Fractals cases that have specific designs on the inside to help the airflow through the case to optimally cool all your components!

Upgrading my RAM has been on my to do list for ages but I have always been to scared to actually do it. I now know how it works and which slots to use to get optimal performance 🫡

I loved being able to get hands on experience 👏 Everyone has always told me installing a CPU is super scary. Turns out, if you know how to properly do it, it's not that bad! Still important to be careful but I now feel much more confident!

I was super proud to learn I already knew all the PC parts. But what I did not know what the huge difference in sizes of motherboards. I finally understand how some cases can be so compact!
