Interestingly he’s the v one who demonstrates how so many streets are too intimidating to cycle on as he’s seen using the pavement, cycle the wrong way on one way streets + has been seen to run a red light. Yes, you cld learn so much from him about why cycle infra is so needed.
@RonnieMushiso
That’s a crap cycling lane though. Just inviting being doored / run over by a driver easing out of parking.
I’d *always* make my children cycle out of that death strip and take the lane.
@RonnieMushiso
Experienced riders call those murder strips. I would be nowhere near it and everybody involved in its creation should feel bad about themselves and their public disservice.
@RonnieMushiso
The highway code instructs people not to cycle like this, and for good reason. Thank heavens none of those doors suddenly opened. That cycle lane is only safe when cars are not parked next to it. When they are, he should 'leave plenty of room when passing parked cars'...
@RonnieMushiso
That is quite possibly the worst “cycle lane” in all of West London; even the painted area is too narrow, but mainly I would never, ever ride in it because the entire thing is door zone dicing with death
