When you don't hit "pause," you'll end up running right past the God that you can't do without. He's wanting to slow you down for work that needs to be done, for refueling that you desperately need, for retooling, for redirecting you back into the center of His will.

Finally, release control. Have both hands open, to receive the new things God wants to do. God wants to do a new thing in your life.

We need to fix what is broken. We all have brokenness. A crisis doesn't cause the brokenness -- it exposes it. During this season, fix what is broken.

What have we learned during this season? Stop for family. Your family needs your best, not your leftovers. Let's not lose that.

38 years ago today — Nov 8, 1981 — I yielded my life to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. I expected to stay as a journalist, but God had different plans. The result has been a life of unmatched adventure! Thank you, Lord, for forgiving my sins and leading my life!
