After a while I started getting other ideas and inspirations and I "remade" him into an actual original character with some modifications and really enjoyed the entire process.

@RogueScholarMDC One of my favorite characters ever was a rogue-psionicist from 2nd ed who had the psionic powers to throw cards that explode.

@RogueScholarMDC That wasn't my experience. My first ttrpg character was a half drow paladin.

@RogueScholarMDC The best thing about rifts is how open ended it is, you could play as just about any thing somebody can come up with using the classes and races in the game.

@RogueScholarMDC I cannot remember my first TTRPG characters. It was so long ago. I imagine I did the same, basing them heavily on books I was reading at the time.

@RogueScholarMDC My first DnD character, made with red box basic, was a 7 ft tall thief who looked like a red haired Conan the Barbarian, and named... Dragonslayer? In fairness, I was 8. 🤷‍♂️

@RogueScholarMDC I made an evil Kronk for my first game, post game he started an insurance company intent on taking over nations in the background and has links to some of my other characters

@RogueScholarMDC Not me I created a druid who thought he was a wolf as he was raised by them. Turns out his mother gave him to wolves as a baby & asked them to protect him. He was a dhampir, his father was a powerful vampire & she wanted to keep him away from her son.

@RogueScholarMDC I’ve always wanted to, but people kept stopping me. I still want to do a Ravenloft game with a Belmont or Alucard build. Closest I ever got was a Rifts character who wore armor similar to Scarlet Spider with Guyver vibro blades. And even that was a fight.
