Mención a Pape Sarr. La de siempre. No tenemos en cuenta la cantidad de situaciones que su movilidad soluciona. Beneficio enorme para él (hacerse con segundos balones, llegar al área, desmarcarse para recibir) y para sus compañeros (limpiando jugadas, arrastrando marcas).

Opposition teams don’t need to worry about Spurs attacking through the middle because A) that is not being instructed to them B) the midfield players selected couldn’t do the task if told to.
This happens COUNTLESS times. Too easy to lock off, forced to one side, double pivot hiding behind the Chelsea press, pressure on Kudus/Johnson/Xavi's back, direct wall pass into them, hard ball to take [only Kudus can consistently], opposition latch onto the ball high.

Hard to believe there’s people watching this and thinking Tottenham should focus on signing more attackers when there’s such a huge lack of deep passing ability in the squad.

I’ve watched this group of players for years under different managers and the most notable thing Frank has come in and done is make Bentancur and Palhinha the central figures of this team. I’m sorry that is just misaligned from the direction this club needs to go in.

I’m not saying that starting Gray, Bergvall or Sarr would mean Spurs have the same technical ability as the top midfielders in those teams, but they would certainly narrow the gap between their midfield and Tottenham's in that regard.

All of them have physicality but also a degree of technical ability which Spurs are not prioritizing at the moment. You need balance as much as anything else.

Lo iba a decir el otro día, pero no vi al Palace y se me pasó. Ese puesto de mediapunta/falso extremo de Glasner le viene de perlas. Pino no tiene la explosividad para jugar pegado a banda, pero tiene muchos recursos técnicos para brillar por dentro. Está jugando muy bien.
No le está costando a Yeremy Pino adaptarse a un fútbol diferente en un sistema tan asentado como el del Palace. Glasner le está dando confianza y él está devolviéndola con una gran habilidad y visión de juego para meter al equipo en el último tercio. Además, tener a Wharton
