The Tasmanian Refugee Legal Service (TRLS) is representing a growing number of onshore LGBTQIA+ clients seeking asylum who fear persecution in their home country.

Lifeblood’s decision to lift the gay blood ban is welcome. But there are some problems. The proposed questions are confusing and inconsistent. The Let Us Give campaign will seek to work with Lifeblood to iron this out. More here:

As you can see, I'm not keen on UTas' proposed cuts to the humanities, social sciences and creative arts.

The Federal Government must send a strong message against rising hate. Passing laws against LGBTIQA+ hate speech, appointing an LGBTIQA human rights commissioner and ending the right of religious schools and services to discriminate against LGBTIQA people would be a good start.
