I’m not sure there could be a better musical episode of a TV show other than the Scrubs musical episode. It is so well done. How the music represents the characters, how the story progresses through the music. Amazing.

Today’s #WorkMusic is “Truthless Heroes” (2002) by Project 86! A hard rock album with a distinct sound that I used to spin endlessly back in my early college days. Fun to re-listen to after so long! #Project86 #TruthlessHeroes

Hard to believe this album is 20 this year! Today’s #WorkMusic is Opeth’s “Ghost Reveries” (2005). I remember distinctly spending money I really didn’t have to spend on a brand new CD on this album my freshman year at ASU. I use this album a lot to test new audio setups.

Fun fact: The home video version of “Galaxy Quest” (1999) has an audio track with the movie dubbed in Thermian. You’re welcome! #Hilarious

It’s time my annual listen through of my birthday album, Extol’s “Undeceived”. Also did some mighty-tedious metal model building. #ThisIs38 #Extol #BirthdayAlbum @ExtolOfficial

Tried something different yesterday evening. I put on a movie (Stranger Than Fiction) and just sat and watched it. No phone, no snacks, no distractions. Just focused on one thing. It’s a fun experience! I noticed lots of details I haven’t seen before.

The movie “Stranger Than Fiction” (2006) is an under-appreciated classic. Will Ferrell tries out some more subtle/dramatic chops (and succeeds), the cinematography is far above what the movie probably called for, and the writing is superb. Highly recommended!

How I listen to my #WorkMusic most days. An Emotiva PT-100 preamp fed by a 35 year old Denon DCD-595 standalone CD player with a pair of Sennheiser HD-600 open-backed headphones. Sounds amazing! #physicalmedia #AudioGearHead @emotiva_audio @sennheiser

One of my favorite soundtracks of all time! Today’s #WorkMusic is the How To Train Your Dragon (2010) soundtrack by John Powell. If the track “Test Flight” doesn’t give you goosebumps, you have no soul 🎶🎶 #HTTYD

Today’s #WorkMusic is a classic all the way back from 1972, “Close to the Edge” by the legendary band Yes. One of the first progressive rock albums I ever listened to, it helped set me down the musical taste path I am on now.

I think “The Patriot” (2000) should be mandatory viewing for all Americans.

Welcome back to #WorkMusic! Today’s feature is Haken’s “The Mountain” (2013) album. This album got me hooked on the band and really established the “Haken” sound to my ears.

Been going through Leviticus for my yearly Bible read-through. This is the first time I’ve really dug in and did some in-depth reading and study. It has been so rewarding! The Bible truly is the living Word of God!

Today’s #WorkMusic is a unique album from one of the most creative metal drummers ever. “In The Shadow Of The Masters” (2010) by Ted Kirkpatrick is a brilliant demonstration of Ted’s drumming ability as well as his incredible musicality and creativity.

Some cool jazz for today’s #WorkMusic to compliment the rainy day. Brian’s incredible technical prowess of the bass is only matched by his musicality. Incredible player!

The latest from Dream Theater today for #WorkMusic : “Parasomnia”! With the great Mike Portnoy on the drums! I actually went to a brick-and-mortar store to grab this CD like it was 2003. Saved me a buck, and I didn’t have to wait for shipping!

Today’s #WorkMusic is Neal Morse’s “Sola Scriptura” (2007) which is a dramatic retelling of Luther’s journey to confront the Church establishment. Classic prog-rock format with 30 minute songs and creative yet catchy tunes.
