In many ways,Billy Bonds epitomised West Ham during that 70’-80’s era. A player of raw passion and pride like an extension of the Upton Park terraces. I recall our epic two legged 81 League cup semi with the Hammers. Billy was probably the difference between the two sides. RIP

Really enjoyed Greatest Basslines on Sky Arts. Had some of the best times of my life playing bass in a band. @peterhook @jahwobble Jean-Jacques Burnel @GlenMatlock were all big influences. So original and turned bass into a lead instrument with their attitude and creativity.
