Very saddened to hear that Mayor Bill is gone. He was a giant in this community. And a dear friend. When we asked him if he’d officiate our wedding, Bill immediately said yes. That was 30 years ago last month. You can tell it was grand time.

Pretty sad to see that the McKenzie River mural in downtown Springfield has been painted over. I photographed artist Ann Woodruff Murray as she made it back in 1991, and I’d driven by it nearly every day since. If another Simpsons character replaces it, I’m gonna lose my mind.
